Special Exam Information
Sunday Examination Date. The 2002 CFA examinations will be offered on
Sunday, 2 June 2002, at test centers located east of 60 degrees of longitude:
Pakistan
India
Australia
most of Asia, and the island nations of the Pacific Basin.
The exam will be held on Saturday, 1 June 2002, at all other sites.
Special Requests. Candidates may request one or more special accommodations including special test centers,disability accommodations, and/or a religious alternative date by checking the appropriate boxes.
Candidates who request a disability accommodation or a religious alternative date will receive additional forms and instructions from AIMR.
All special request forms and supporting documentation must be received by AIMR no later than 1 March 2002.
Special Test Center. Candidates may request a special test center in a locality where AIMR does not currently offer the exam.
If a special test center is approved, AIMR will require a fee of up to US$400 per candidate to cover related expenses.
AIMR has the sole discretion to approve special test centers.
Approvals will not be announced prior to 1 February 2002.
Disability Accommodations. AIMR attempts to provide reasonable accommodations for disabled candidates who cannot be tested under ordinary conditions. Accordingly, no later than 1 March 2002,candidates with physical or mental disabilities wishing to receive an accommodation must complete AIMR’s Disability Accommodations Request
Form that will be sent to the candidate. The information the candidates will be asked to provide includes:
A detailed description of the suggested accommodation; and
Acceptable documentation from a licensed physician or mental health care provider diagnosing the disability and explaining the need for the suggested accommodation. All disability-related requests and all supporting documentation must be received by AIMR no later than 1 March 2002.
Religious Alternative Date. Candidates whose religious obligations prohibit them from taking the examination on the scheduled date may request an alternative test date.
Candidates must complete the Religious Alternative Date Form that will be sent to them by AIMR.
The form requires the candidate to submit a letter on official stationery from a rabbi, minister, or other religious official confirming the conflict between taking the examination on the scheduled date and the candidate’s religious obligations.
The Religious Alternative Date Form and the supporting letter requesting an alternative test date must be received by AIMR no later than 1 March 2002.
